Equal Pay Day for Latinas | A Donation

December 8th was Latina Equal Pay Day. Equal Pay Days denote how far into the year women must work to be paid what men were paid the previous year. For women overall, this date was determined to be March 15, meaning the average woman had to work about 3-½ months into 2022 to earn what an average man made in 2021 (the average woman who works full-time is paid, on average, 83% of a typical man’s pay).

The numbers are much worse for minority women, including Latinas.

For Latinas, Equal Pay Day is TODAY. Yes, that means that Latinas had to work a full ELEVEN months into 2022 to earn what white men made in 2021. Latinas are paid 49 cents for every dollar paid to white men.

Appalled? So are we. Thank you to all who made purchases on this day and allowed us to donate a portion of our proceeds to the Equal Rights Advocates.
